This means that an engine has a corresponding filling rate for every pressure and every RPM. This rate is called volumetric efficiency.

Water Pumps
In a liquid-cooled engine, there is a water pump. The sole function of this electrical part is to circulate coolant through the cooling system, also called antifreeze. The cooling system consists of the space between the cylinders and the outside of the engine block. The water pump is driven by the serpentine belt. When the device is faulty, the seal around the shaft will start to leak, and you can easily replace it with a new one. Sometimes the water pump is built-in and can be harder to reach.

Oil Pressure Switches
When the oil light on the dashboard lights up, the oil needs to be topped up. In a combustion engine running on unleaded petrol, a lot of pressure is generated, which is used to drive belts and pulleys. This pressure is released through a vacuum pump. A diesel engine also uses the vacuum pump for other systems, such as the braking system and the air conditioning system. The pump is always in use and can wear out, requiring replacement.
