Buy Electronic Parts Cheaply
A car consists of many parts that ensure your vehicle works properly, including many electronic parts. It can be challenging, when you want to buy electronic parts, to choose the right materials, for example, when you can't find the correct part or don't know which part fits your car. However, there is always a specialist available that you can call for advice. Even if you need a part that is not available in the webshop, you can call and ask about the possibilities.

Some parts are essential in the construction of cars and can vary significantly in structure depending on the brand. Sensors, water pumps, oil pressure switches, and vacuum pumps are such essential parts and perform crucial functions.

Sensors
There are various types of sensors involved in the functioning of cars, and they have different functions.

Radar Sensor
Radar sensors provide great assistance while driving. These sensors assist you during parking with the well-known beeping sound. They are also involved in detecting the blind spot and assisting in lane changing. The sensor records angle, speed, and distance information of objects up to 70 meters behind the car, and this data is also analyzed.

Lambda Sensor
The lambda sensor is a sensor in the exhaust of a car with a petrol engine. This sensor measures the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gases and relays this information to the engine management system. This is also called the lambda value and is an indicator of combustion efficiency. Depending on the value, the engine management system can adjust the fuel-air mixture. Cars manufactured after the year 2000 have a second lambda sensor behind the catalytic converter to also check its effectiveness.

MAP Sensor (Manifold Absolute Pressure)
The MAP sensor measures the pressure in the intake manifold. The sensor measures the air density in this part, and based on this, it can determine how much air enters the engine. This measurement varies per RPM, as the shape of the intake and exhaust, and the camshaft profile also play a role. This means that an engine has a corresponding filling rate for every pressure and every RPM. This rate is called volumetric efficiency.

Water Pumps
In a liquid-cooled engine, there is a water pump. The sole function of this electrical part is to circulate coolant through the cooling system, also called antifreeze. The cooling system consists of the space between the cylinders and the outside of the engine block. The water pump is driven by the serpentine belt. When the device is faulty, the seal around the shaft will start to leak, and you can easily replace it with a new one. Sometimes the water pump is built-in and can be harder to reach.

Oil Pressure Switches
When the oil light on the dashboard lights up, the oil needs to be topped up. The oil pressure switch is the reason for this warning and is thus the switch, or sensor, that monitors if there is enough oil in the engine. The switch is closed when the engine is not running and opens when oil pressure builds up in the engine, pressing the switch. As long as the switch is pressed, the light on your dashboard remains off, but if there is not enough oil in the engine, there is not enough pressure on the switch, keeping it closed, and the oil needs to be refilled.

Vacuum Pumps
In a combustion engine running on unleaded petrol, a lot of pressure is generated, which is used to drive belts and pulleys. This pressure is released through a vacuum pump. A diesel engine also uses the vacuum pump for other systems, such as the braking system and the air conditioning system. The pump is always in use and can wear out, requiring replacement. When the vacuum pump is defective, the entire vehicle's operation and performance will be affected.
